OUR BODY IS A MIRACLE
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS….’
I am fascinated at how amazing the Self Healing, Self Regenerating Human Body Is…Each cell has a life span and as they die off they are replaced with new ones.
As The New York Public Library’s Science Desk Reference (Stonesong Press, 1995) notes, “There are between 50 and 75 trillion cells in the body…. Each type of cell has its own life span…”;
- Red Blood Cells – 4 months
- White Blood Cells – more than 1 year
- Skin Cells Outer Layer – 28-35 days
- Lungs -2-3 weeks they are constantly filtering, however, Alceoli take a year.
- Liver – 6 weeks (a human liver can regenerate itself completely even if as little as 25% remains of it)
- Stomach Lining – every 5 days
- Skeletal Structure – 40077
- months to 7 years depending on the section of the bone
- Brain Cells last a lifetime – so take care of the ones you have (neurons in the cerebral cortex, for example, are not replaced when they die) other parts of the brain however replace every 2 months.
- Entire Human Body down to the last atom is replaced every 5-7 years
The human body has so many cells, parts, and systems. And many of them are held together with collagen. The most abundant protein in your body is all about connection and strength. That’s because collagen’s adhesive qualities are only matched by its ability to provide structure and strength.
Saying collagen is found throughout your body is kind of an understatement.
It’s a structural element of bones, muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Collagen and skin are always talked about together, because it’s a major component of your largest organ. Collagen is also found in: blood vessels, cornea of the eye, teeth, cartilage, discs between your vertebrae and the digestive tract. The fibrous nature and strength of collagen make it an ideal protective casing for your kidneys and other organs. It also helps connect cells all over your body to each other. (Interconnective Tissue) The name ‘collagen’ comes from the Greek word ‘glue.’(Collagen from Chicken cartilage is the closest thing to human cartilage, but it is a huge molecule that is hard to digest, even boiling it will not make it the correct size and weight to digest)
Age is about the only thing that can stop or slow down the body from being amazing. The older you get, the less collagen you make. And what you do make is not as high-quality as the collagen when you were young. This impacts how quickly you repair (notice how quickly children repair than adults)
The body can go about its’ natural process of repair, once you start giving your body the proper ingredients; Water, Nutrition, Sunshine, Sleep, Oxygen (Exercise for deep breathing of Air and structure development)
If you have a problem, when you get to the heart of the problem and remove it… it allows our body to repair itself naturally. (example taking out a splinter in a finger)
Hippocrates stated that healing is not the treatment accomplished by a physician but is due to the vis medicatrix naturae (self-healing) within a human body (Mott, 1923; Logan & Selhub, 2012).
